Use case

Temporary email for evaluating free trials

Evaluating five tools means five onboarding drip campaigns. A temporary address lets you look first and decide later.

What it is good for

  • Kicking the tyres of a tool you may never use again.
  • Comparing several products side by side.
  • Reading a product's onboarding email sequence for research.

What it is not for

Free-trial offers are meant for one person evaluating a product. Using throwaway addresses to claim the same offer repeatedly breaks most services' terms and we do not recommend it.

If you decide to keep a product, switch to an address you control before you add payment details or store work you care about.

A sensible routine

  1. Open Emailsify and copy the address.
  2. Register for the trial and confirm the verification message.
  3. Use the product. When you are done, do nothing: the inbox expires.
  4. If you want to keep the account, change its address to a permanent one first.

Frequently asked questions

Will the trial email me after the inbox expires?

The service can keep sending mail, but nothing will reach you once the inbox is gone. Unsubscribing is not needed.

Can I recover the account later?

No. A temporary inbox cannot receive reset mail after it expires, so only use it for accounts you can lose.
